Volontari Expo
Sono venuto a Milano dalla Cina per studiare architettura ambientale al Politecnico, una volta finiti gli studi qui andrò negli Stati Uniti per la laurea magistrale e poi tornerò in Cina a lavorare. Sono qui in Expo a lavorare come volontario perchè mi piace molto l’idea di partecipare ad un evento così grande e internazionale che permette di conoscere tutte le diverse culture.

Abito a Rho, gioco in casa, ho voluto provare questa esperienza perchè è la prima cosa che faccio da anni per me, solo per me. Ho chiesto il permesso al lavoro, perchè lavoro per la segreteria di una scuola, me l’hanno accordato, ho recuperato le ore, ho fatto tutto e sono entusiasta. Sono al settimo cielo perchè mi sono trovata benissimo ho conosciuto questo ragazzo con cui ho passato questi quindici giorni. Lui mi ha insegnato tutto della sua cultura cinese di cui non conoscevo nulla. Ho conosciuto tanti ragazzi che mi hanno donato un grande ottimismo per il futuro.

Expo Volunteers
I came to Milan from China to study Environmental Architecture at the Polytechnic, when I finish my degree I will go to the US for my specialisation, and then I’ll go back to China to work. I am here at Expo as a volunteer because I like the idea of taking part in such a big and international event, that has allowed me to know many different cultures.

I live in Rho, so I’m on my turf, and I wanted to try out this experience because it’s the first time I do something for myself, and only for myself, in ages. I work as a secretary at a school, and I asked my employers for an authorisation to volunteer during some of my working hours, and I’m very happy to have done it. I am over the moon because I had a great experience; I met this young man and I spent fifteen days with him; he taught me everything about his culture, of which I knew nothing. I’ve met many young people who gave me a lot of hope for the future.
