ristorazione Padiglione Olanda

Food service, Dutch Pavilion
I study administration, finance and marketing in high school. One day in March a representative from Expo came to talk to the teachers, to find out who had already passed in all subjects and had high marks in English. So one week before the opening I was told that I had been chosen to work for Expo. I cried of joy! Working here is really fun, because the Dutch have decided to recreate a festival inside their pavilion. Now they are going to hire me, so for a couple of months I will work here with a good pay, the equivalent of a Dutch salary. I didn’t know anything of Expo, it was an offer that came from my school, a gift. It has opened my eyes because I’ve decided to go to university in the UK after I finish high school. And because here you meet all sorts of people: someone from Tennessee who is a cowboy and tells you about his horse, someone from Japan who has recognised you because you ended up on a newspaper and wants to take a picture with you… It’s something very special and wonderful that I don’t think will happen again.
